The Jury 2012

All award entries are reviewed by an international jury, who meets in June 2012 to review all submitted projects.


The 2012 jury comprises of:

​Alvaro Siza, Portugal, considered his country’s greatest living architect. Over the last five decades Álvaro Siza has assembled a body of work that ranks him among the greatest architects of his generation.

​​Brigitte Shim, Canada, has been a professor, since 1988, at the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Brigitte Shim is also a principal in Shim-Sutcliffe Architects, Toronto, formed in 1994.

Bijoy Jain, India, is founding partner of Studio Mumbai. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, USA and worked in Los Angeles and London between 1989 and 1995 before he returned to India to found his own practice recognised for its careful consideration of place and local practice.

​​Peter Stutchbury, Australia, is emerging as one of the leaders of a new generation of Australian architects. He is recognised for his innovative approach to sustainability and design.
