“It has been an honour and pleasure to join this event and meet everyone here in La Rochelle. The 23 of us, standing here on the stage today are very proud and anxious to present to you the film we have worked on during the last 2-day workshop. The film is our interpretation of light in La Rochelle, a truly charming city full of daylight”, Chinese Yan Shi said, as she presented the film that she had produced together with the 22 other winners in the International VELUX Award 2010 when they worked together during the workshop in La Rochelle.

Magda Mostafa
The prizes for the students as well as their teachers were presented by jury chairman Magda Mostafa from the International Union of Architects. She stressed that the jury in general found the quality of the projects submitted for the award very high demonstrating the students’ ability to think out of the box and providing simple solutions or aspects with a big impact that others did not think of before.
