The International VELUX Award is a competition for students of architecture that runs every second year. We challenge students from all over the world to work with daylight as an ever relevant source of light, life and joy.
The award is one of the most important global student competitions of its kind. Submission is open until 15 June 2020 so prepare your project! NB: you cannot upload your project unless you have registered before 15 April.

International VELUX Award 2020
All registered students who wish to participate should submit their project by the deadline 15 June. We can't wait to see what you come up with as you explore the creative power of daylight in architecture.
All award entries for the International VELUX Award 2020 will be reviewed by an international jury comprised of renowned architects including representatives from UIA, and represents different cultural backgrounds, nationalities, and approaches to architecture.

International VELUX Award 2020 is arranged in close collaboration with the International Union of Architects (UIA) and regional winners will be presented as part of the programme at the World Architecture Festival in December 2020.
International VELUX Award 2020 is acknowledged by the following educational organizations: The European Association for Architectural Education, The American Institute of Architecture Students, the Architectural Research Centers Consortium, and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture.

By entering the International VELUX Award, the participants accept that the International Union of Architects (UIA) and the organiser – the VELUX Group – may publish and disseminate the submitted projects and photos of the participants in analogue and digital form, including all names of team members, teachers and schools.
